DEXTER DANIELSON

Bob spent 19 years in church ministry serving as a counselor, pastor, elder, and, for the last 8 years, a volunteer chaplain for the Gresham Police Department where he has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Unit Citation. When asked, "If money were not a problem, what would you do with your life?" Bob's immediate response was, "I would be a full-time chaplain with the Gresham Police" so that's what he's going to do!

Bob has been married to his wife, Sandra, since 1985 and finds her to be more beautiful today than when he met her. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking, photography and the fact that Sandra supports his chaplaincy whole-heartedly is an added reason to love her.

Bob graduated from Grace College in Winona Lake, IN with Bachelor's degrees in Biblical Studies and Psychology and from Western Seminary in Portland, OR with a Master's degree in Counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive work with marriages. He is certified as a Basic Chaplain with the International Conference of Police Chaplains and holds certifications from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefing. He has had opportunity to teach internationally in Sudan and the Ukraine on trauma, marriage, alcoholism and grief.

Bob's passion is to serve the men and women of the Gresham Police Department and considers it his greatest honor to be counted amongst them. There really is no higher calling for Bob than to serve the members of the Gresham Police and he is deeply grateful for the opportunity.
