National Police Week May 13-19, 2007
At the
The National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Wall
Washington D.C.

Kay Farrell makes a rubbing of her husband's name on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.   In the evening of May 13 she experiences the Candlelight Ceremony which she describes as "absolutely breathtaking."

She adds, "Every survivor had to deal with his or her situation entirely different from someone else.... To meet the survivors and hear their stories almost breaks your heart."

Kay's husband, Thomas Farrell, a Tillamook County Deputy, died April 22, 1987 while in the line of duty.

Deputy Tom Farrell's name etched on the Memorial Wall (top).   A TCSO patch with Oregon COPS memorial card are below.
